Together we can foster mental wellness and make work a happier place

Our Story

Once upon a time, ‘mental health’ was a term used to imply mental ill health, complex employee issues and tick boxing. It conveyed negative connotations and stigma.

Uplift Mental Health was created to help change this.

Our founder, Jaimie Shires, was inspired to bring a fresh approach to workplace wellbeing that focused on health rather than illness; on prevention rather than cure.

Jaimie has drawn from her experience as a counsellor and wellbeing enabler to provide reliable information, guidance and support that makes a real difference to workplaces everywhere.

Uplift is on a mission to improve the perceptions, language and approach to mental health at work.

Will you join us in transforming workplaces?

Our Philosophy

We believe that a workforce that feels safe, respected and valued is more committed, creative and cooperative.

We believe fostering good mental health at work requires a ‘top down’ management approach.

We believe that everyone should have access to a ‘safe space’ to be heard, accepted and professionally supported.

Our Approach

We use a holistic approach to facilitate mental wellness which is based on the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model of wellbeing.

Our training, guidance and resources are informed by the fields of positive psychology, humanistic psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology and neuroscience.
